Recruiter FAQ

What roles are you targeting?

IT support engineering and infrastructure operations roles where I can combine network troubleshooting, systems administration, high-availability service delivery, technical documentation, and hands-on support.

What experience do you have in high-availability environments?

I supported enterprise messaging and network-adjacent services for approximately 60,000 global users across multiple data centers. That work included daily operations for 65 servers, 99.9% service-level compliance, incident escalation, monitoring, routing and access requirements, vendor coordination, and service continuity.

How do you approach a problem without a documented procedure?

I protect service continuity first, establish scope and impact, capture evidence, reproduce the issue where possible, isolate likely causes across the user, device, application, server, and network layers, test corrective actions, verify restoration, and document the resolution for repeatable support.

You have 12+ years of experience — why the recent degrees?

I returned to formal education to update and validate the cloud, networking, Linux, virtualization, Python, and automation side of an established enterprise career. I was building current technical proof, not starting over.

What current technical work can you show?

The portfolio includes Cisco Modeling Labs on Google Cloud for network troubleshooting, a 250-user Microsoft 365 migration and support-readiness design, and a governed Proxmox automation capstone. The Capstones and Home Lab pages include documentation and downloadable artifacts.

Where are you located, and what work arrangements are you open to?

I'm in Garner, NC — the Raleigh–Durham / Triangle area. On-site, hybrid, and remote all work.

When can you start, and how flexible is your schedule?

I'm available immediately and can typically start within a week of an offer. I'm open to 2nd and 3rd shift, on-call rotations including nights and weekends, and travel.

What is your certification plan?

Cisco CCNA preparation is active with an exam target of Sep 2026. CompTIA A+ follows in my WGU IT Foundations and IT Applications sequence, and I am willing to prioritize A+ first when it supports the role. KCNA and LFCS remain longer-term goals.

Do you require visa sponsorship?

I am authorized to work in the United States and do not require sponsorship.
